As if in a fairytale we woke up to rescue a princess up in the hill of ‘Manikkunnu”. With a bit of food in stomach, we stood by 7:10am. First sight was a Malabar Grey Horn-Bill. Trucking as I thought was nothing matching to what we had. It was more of findings packed joy with care and need to be mind-filled. As a preparation I emptied myself to silence and eyes blank. All in all resource pack including Jafer sir, Dhanya miss, Varun sir,Sathish sir, and two forest officials accompanied us. “There are no gains without pains”, so was our journey tracking heights. Leeches perfectly nourished themselves in our blood. ‘Urithookki’ was the next spot of attraction. Very next we reached a cave which seemed occupied once due to the presence of utensils and clothes. Climbing clouds I hurt my legs a hundred times, as I fell down at each step! Walking went worse for me!!! However I danced in fulfillment by 11.00am as we reached our designed destination. Our heart bloomed at the view of Chembra peak opposite. ‘Refreshment time’; we relaxed with parippuvada each and loads of water. Rocera Barmanii and Rocera Indica were the insectivorous plant species we re-invented from top. Quite a bit later after relaxation we launched back contented. Returning was gloom as to depart is to tear. However in hope of re-joining again.., we climbed down to MSSRF, mind-thrilled and eyes nourished. By the time, my hard disk-drive got completely used…!!!
